College pennants still adorn the pine ceiling. Not much has changed since then, but the carpeting, once perpetually sticky from spilled beer and cocktails, has thankfully been replaced at least a couple of times. The origin and purpose of the Koom Room remains a closely guarded secret, though we suspect no one really knows. The original structure had an upstairs loft, dubbed the Koom Room in the 1960s, and the term remains on their sign.
